Position: Financial Planning and Analysis Manager 
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Scope: CIPE is seeking a full-time, exempt Washington D.C.-based Financial Planning and Analysis Manager. The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will play a vital part in providing key financial insights to both the Board of Directors and senior management, with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. The primary responsibility is to consolidate financial data from various departments across CIPE and deliver comprehensive, organization-wide analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the quarterly re-forecasting process, ensuring a rolling 12-month financial forecast is accurately compiled.
  • Work closely with functional area managers to refine and update re-forecasts.
Reporting:
  • Prepare quarterly financial reports for the Board of Directors.
  • Generate monthly financial management reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as requested by the CFO, SLT, or Board.
Analysis:
  • Conduct CIPE-wide financial analysis, identifying trends and potential future issues for resolution.
  • Analyze budget vs. actual performance for functional units to proactively identify and address potential spending challenges.
  • Identify and communicate potential challenges related to program and grant funding and usage.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of administrative spending in relation to NICRA, and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Provide ad-hoc and recurring analysis as directed by the CFO.
  • Assist with audit activities as requested.
Other:
  • Collaborate with the Controller to enhance financial systems, supporting automated reporting and data capture for better decision-making.

Key Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in financial planning and/or accounting.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of international NGO financial practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; knowledge of JAMIS accounting systems is a plus.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

THE SALARY RANGE FOR THIS POSITION IS $89,000-$111,000 PER YEAR
